FAQ

Clear answers to your questions

Everything business owners ask us before the first project — answered openly, even where the answer is "it depends" or "no". Your question isn't here? Just write to us.

Getting Started & Process

The path into a project

What's the best way to start?

With the free intro call: 30 minutes, online or by phone. You tell us how your business works — we tell you clearly where AI can lighten your load and where it can't. If you'd like to form your own picture first, take the AI Potential Check (10 questions, 3 minutes). And if you want to see what’s possible: in a free live demo we show how a conversation from your day-to-day work becomes a finished quote draft.

How does a project unfold?

In six steps: intro call → potential analysis (1–2 weeks) → pilot building block (2–3 weeks) → expansion (4–6 weeks) → training & go-live → optional ongoing support. Important: the pilot comes before the expansion — you see results before investing heavily.

How quickly do I see results?

The analysis delivers a clear roadmap after one to two weeks. The pilot building block typically goes live after a further two to three weeks — with cases from your everyday work.

Does the consulting happen online or on site?

Both. The analysis and training are most effective on site — that's where we really see your workflows. Implementation, coordination and support run efficiently online. You choose what fits your business; we travel throughout the German-speaking region.

Isn't my business too small for AI?

No — small teams in particular benefit the most, because every saved office hour is directly noticeable there. Our building blocks deliberately start small and grow with you. There's no minimum size, only a minimum question: is there recurring desk work? If so, the conversation is worthwhile.

Holistic Approach

People and team

What does "holistic" AI consulting mean?

That we don't just set up technology, but keep the whole picture in view: the people who work with it, the workflows it is embedded in, and the culture of your business. AI projects rarely fail because of the technology — usually because of the rollout. Our founder brings over 25 years of experience guiding people — and has been running his own AI systems for years at the same time. That exact combination is our approach.

Does the AI replace my staff?

It replaces typing, searching and double entry — not people. In practice, working time shifts from the desk to the guest, customer or client. Your team is trained and strengthened, not made redundant.

What if my team is skeptical?

Skepticism is healthy — and usually justified when technology is imposed from above. We work differently: the team is involved early, the AI first takes over the least popular writing tasks, and every output goes through human approval. Anyone who experiences work being taken off their hands rather than added to it comes around on their own. "Gentle before strong" is a principle for us: security first, then growth.

Why is the company called "burnin"?

The blue flame is the clearest, calmest part of the fire. That is what our name stands for: burning for your own cause — without burning out. Our founder is, among other things, a certified Success & Burnout Coach; the experience of how overload arises and how to resolve it flows into every project. AI should give your business energy back, not create new hecticness.

Technology & Privacy

Tools and data

Which AI technology do you work with?

Primarily Claude by Anthropic — based on our daily hands-on experience, currently the strongest AI for text, analysis and agent systems, including the latest team features (2026). Where another tool fits better, we say so openly — we earn from your solution, not from license commissions.

What happens to our data?

Your data remains your data. For every tool, we check where data flows, and prefer providers with European data processing and clear data processing agreements. Especially sensitive processing — such as speech recognition of conversation recordings — can run entirely locally on your premises, without the cloud.

What about conversation recordings and consent?

Recordings only take place with documented consent of everyone involved. We supply the consent templates, the record of processing activities and a deletion concept — and, if needed, involve your data protection officer.

What if the AI makes mistakes?

It will make mistakes — that's why our architecture is built for it: the AI works with your verified knowledge base (prices, rules, tone) instead of free-form knowledge, and every output goes through your team's approval before a customer sees it. The person decides — that is a principle for us, not an option.

Do we need our own servers or an IT department?

No. The systems run with your existing mailboxes and tools; we set everything up, document it in plain language and stay on board as a point of contact. Your team operates it day to day — we run it.

What does the EU AI Act require of my business?

Since August 2026, labeling requirements for AI-generated content and transparency requirements for AI assistants apply, among other things. Our systems are built for that — labeling, documentation and consent processes are delivered as part of the project. You don't have to work through regulatory texts yourself.

Cost & Contracts

Investment and commitment

What does a project cost?

Getting to know us costs nothing — the intro call and live demo are free. The potential analysis starts at €1,900, the complete transformation at €9,900, ongoing support at €490 a month. Your concrete fixed price is set after the intro call — and the roadmap from the analysis states benefit, effort and price for each building block before you decide.

What does ongoing operation cost?

Providers' AI licenses typically run around €25–35 per user per month, plus small usage-based costs. We disclose all third-party costs transparently — they go directly to the providers, without markup.

Am I tied into long contracts?

No. The analysis is usable independently (you can take it to a different provider, too), projects have fixed prices, ongoing support is cancellable monthly. Our goal is that you become independent — even of us.

Why should I trust a young consultancy?

Because you're not buying slides, but systems that have themselves been running in production for years — and guidance built on over 25 years of experience working with people. Our structure keeps your risk small: a free intro call, an independently usable analysis, a pilot before expansion, support cancellable monthly.
